Career Opportunities with MSC Therapy

Our team is made up of relational, psychodynamically informed therapists who are committed to high-quality, client-centered care. Interns, pre-licensed associates, and fully licensed clinicians each bring something unique to the practice, and we aim to support that growth at every stage.

Clinical Internship

Our clinical training program is ideal for social work students eager to gain experience in a relational, psychodynamically informed private practice. MSC Therapy interns are an integral part of the team, working with individual clients while receiving extensive support and guidance throughout the year.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling program (second-year student preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Interest in mental health and a commitment to ethical practice

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic private practice environment

  • Ability to work effectively from a private and professional home space equipped with strong WiFi

Supervision and Training

  • Weekly 1:1 supervision provided by Mollie Candib, SIFI-certified LCSW

  • Continued support and guidance throughout the week beyond the dedicated supervision time

  • Access to trainings and case consultation for further education

Pre-Licensed Therapists

This position is ideal for emerging clinicians who are committed to deepening their skills and developing their professional identity in a remote group practice. You’ll work independently with a consistent caseload while receiving close support through weekly supervision and team consultation.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Licensed or holds a limited permit (LMSW or MHC-LP) in New York State

  • Experience providing individual therapy using a variety of therapeutic modalities

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, with excellent time-management skills

  • Commitment to ethical clinical practice and client-centered care

  • Comfortable with telehealth or open to learning and adapting to a remote work environment

  • A private, professional home office setup with reliable internet access

  • Individual professional liability (malpractice) insurance
